New podcast mini-series to focus on agroforestry

RuralPod Media has teamed up with the Forestry Commission to produce an insightful three-part mini-series on agroforestry as part of its flagship podcast, Meet the Farmers.

Hosted by rural affairs and farming podcaster Ben Eagle, and his co-host for the series James Ramskir-Gardiner, National Agroforestry Advisor at the Forestry Commission, together they explore the benefits and practicalities of agroforestry with expert guests who are practising it on the ground.

All episodes will be available to stream on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, or your favourite podcast platform.

James Ramskir Gardiner said, “It’s been a real privilege to spend time learning from three brilliant agroforesters across England, exploring the many benefits and reasons to incorporate agroforestry into our farming systems. Agroforestry is a key tool for our continued and future sustainable food & timber production, alongside the many benefits to our air, water, soil and natural environment it provides.”

Ben Eagle said, “We hope this mini-series will inspire more farmers to explore agroforestry as a way of making their farm more resilient. Our guests share invaluable insights that will be useful for anyone considering experimenting with agroforestry on their farm.”
